TMC fetes staff’s service, including six with 40 years

Some 600 members of the extended Tucson Medical Center family turned out in style Saturday night to honor staff for their years of service, including six people who started working at TMC in 1971 — 40 years ago.

We honored 473 people, representing 5,460 total years of service, for their milestone anniversaries of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years! The staff members, who work at Tucson Medical Center, TMC Foundation and Saguaro Physicians, enjoyed an Arizona Centennial-themed night with dinner, awards, live music and dancing.

Those with 40 years of service include Valerie Crain, Carmen Pinedo, Marilyn Reynolds, Donna Roberts, Lucy Sawicki and Eileen Schwab.

Centerpieces representing the five C’s of Arizona: cotton, copper, citrus, cattle and climate.

The band and staff make final preparations in the ballroom prior to the evening’s festivities.

Best-dressed couple of the evening Rodney and Marybell Turner celebrate Rodney’s five years of service.
