TMC sponsors Kona Bikes 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo

TMC has signed on as presenting sponsor of one of the largest 24-hour mountain bike events in the world. Tucson-based Epic Rides, organizer of three mountain bike events in Arizona, announced the sponsorship of the 13th annual Kona Bikes 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo, Feb. 17-19, at Willow Springs Ranch north of Tucson.

“Epic Rides is thrilled to welcome Tucson Medical Center as the presenting sponsor,” said Todd Sadow, president of Epic Rides. “This partnership strengthens our mutual commitment to healthy, family-friendly outdoor activity.”

TMC shares Epic Rides’ excitement in the ride, said Julia Strange, TMC vice president of Community Benefit. “When we join together for events like this, we build healthier and more connected communities.”

The Kona Bikes 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo will host more than 3,500 participants, volunteers and spectators throughout the course of the Presidents Day weekend.

With hundreds of teams competing to ride the most laps within a 24-hour period, the event fosters unparalleled camaraderie within each relay team.

Epic Rides is a Tucson-based mountain bike event organizer and hosts this ride as well as the Whiskey Off-Road Endurance Mountain Bike Event & Festival in Prescott each April and the Show Low Bluff Tour of the White Mountains in Show Low each October.
