“I Choose Community” – Another example at TMC

The organizational values identified by TMC employees (Dedication, Compassion, Integrity, Community) are among the reasons people ‘Choose Well’ when they choose TMC. Here’s the latest example from TMC’s internal campaign celebrating employees who choose Community:

Robert Wolk & Mary Cochran

Two longtime members of the TMC family – Robert Wolk, manager at TMC Pharmacy, and Dr. Mary Cochran, Pediatrician and member of the TMC Board of Trustees – often work together as a married couple at community events. They’ve fitted lots of helmets on lots of young heads, and worked with multitudes of kids at events such as the Festival of Books, Be Safe Saturday and El Tour de Tucson.

“It’s a need that we have in the community.  It’s fun to do, and it’s sometimes challenging,” says Robert. “We choose to do it because we find that there’s a need in the community. The kids are usually a lot of fun, and it’s very worthwhile.  There are so many activities people can participate in.”

Mary adds, “We live in the community, and if everyone gives a little bit to the community, the entire city will be a better place.  It is fun.  You never know who you’re going to meet and what you’re going to learn when you’re doing something that’s outside of your own box. The more everybody steps out of their box and does something for somebody else, the more you’re going to learn and probably the more fun you’re going to have.”
