San Pedro Valley News-Sun Features one of TMC’s Little Miracles

Three-year-old Kierstyn Rader and her family were featured by the San Pedro Valley News-Sun this week as the campaign for TMC for Children Children’s Miracle Network continues.

Kierstyn was something of a miracle herself, cared for as a tiny infant in the newborn intensive care unit for two months after she came into the world three months earlier than expected.

Her parents, Mary Catherine and Marc, not come only back to the unit every year on Kierstyn’s birthday to bring sandwiches and visit with the nursing and care staff, but are helping support the Walmart/Sam’s Club campaign for Children’s Miracle Network, a charitable nonprofit devoted to raising funds for children’s hospitals.

Erika Grasse, the director of development for the Children’s Miracle Network program through TMC, said she is heartened by the support.

“Quite aside from the fact Kierstyn is a very special little girl, it’s wonderful that the Raders are willing to share with the community the ways that donations help make a difference in the lives of families across Southern Arizona.”

The campaign runs through June 16, with 100 percent of the money raised supporting TMC for Children.
