Meet the “Protector”

Yesterday, the Specialist introduced you to the TMC Infection Prevention League.

We are celebrating Infection Prevention Week and want to share with you all the ways you can help us in the fight to eliminate the spread of infection.

But first, let me introduce myself. I am the Protector, and I’d like to talk with you about the importance of exercising basic behaviors and habits to stay and keep healthy.

Now I consider myself to be the brawn of the outfit, but every member of the League, including you, has a pivotal role in our community’s health – because let’s face it, the future of the universe is in your hands!

Now join me, The Protector, in protecting mankind from cold & flu viruses this season! How might you ask? Well, hold it right there and let me tell you!

Do some of the following simple things:

  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the crook of your arm;
  • If you must do hand to nose/mouth combat when you sneeze and cough—wash hands as soon as possible or use a hand sanitizer.
  • Contain those viruses within the fortress walls by staying home when you are feeling sick.
  • Arm yourself with the flu vaccine….

The battle with these viruses begins with you. Cold and flu viruses are nasty little life-forms and they like to spread and get other people sick. Let’s stop these pesky germs dead in their tracks…to immunity and beyond!
