Vibrant brain activity reported at TMC Senior Services

BrainWeekBrainiacs city-wide look forward to the return of BRAIN WEEK each year, with learning opportunities provided by TMC and the Center for Neurosciences.

The Brain Week sessions take place at Healthy Living Connections, Seniors Classroom, at the El Dorado Health Campus, 1400 N. Wilmot Road.  Pre-registration is required; contact TMC Senior Services, 324-4345.   For more information on this event or other TMC Senior Services programs, call 324-1960.

Mon., April 15

— 10-11:30 a.m. – Brain Basics – Stephanie Gillespie, FNP-BC

— 4:30-6 p.m. – Psychological Issues: Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injuries – Alan Goldberg, PsyD, JD

Tues., April 16

— 10-11:30 a.m. – Nutrition for a Healthy Brain – Linda Rumsey, MS, RD 

— 1-3:30 p.m. – All About Parkinson’s Disease – APDA Staff & Friends

Wed., April 17

— 9-10:30 a.m. – My Aching Head: Headaches and Neck Pain – Amy Tees, NP-C

— 2-3:30 p.m. – All About Alzheimer’s Disease – David Teeple, MD

Thurs., April 18

— 9-10:30 a.m. – Advances in Brain Treatments – Abhay Sanan, MD

Fri., April 19 (Sorry – Fully Booked)

— 10-11:30 a.m. – Meditation, the Brain, and Aging – Alfred Kaszniak, PhD
