A day-long cardiac conference on Saturday, Feb. 20, offers a forum for patients, family members and the community at large to learn about CardioVascular health for today and the future. The event takes place at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort.
The 2nd annual Tucson CardioVascular Community Education Day is open to a limited number of registrants on Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration includes the sessions, health screenings and lunch. Interactive lectures include:

- Powering Up With Plant-Strong Meals
- From Mouth to Heart: What Is the Connection between the Oral Cavity and the Cardiovascular System?
The cost for a full day of education, including screenings, is normally $35. The annual day-long conference actually includes two different courses – one for the community and a separate track for physicians and health care support professionals. Both events will run concurrently at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa, 3800 W. Starr Pass Blvd. A 5K fun run/walk is included in either the public or the professional registration, to start at 5 p.m. after the conference.
