A note on the recent cyber attack at Banner Health

DataPrivacySmallThis week, we are learning more about the cyber attack against Banner Health. Our colleagues at Banner identified the breach and are in the process of notifying those impacted. This attack, and it is an attack that is no different than robbing a bank or breaking into your home, is one in a growing trend in which criminals target healthcare systems like Banner Health.

At TMC, we are ever vigilant in our efforts to secure our systems.  We continually invest in cyber-security efforts because protecting the information we are entrusted with is a top priority.

“While it would be unwise to outline specific steps we are taking, please know that protecting your private health information is a responsibility we take very seriously,” said Frank Marini, senior vice president and chief information officer.

If you have questions about information security at TMC, please e-mail communications@tmcaz.com.
