Samir Dahdal, MD, has joined Tucson Medical Center as a physician adviser for utilization management.
Dr. Dahdal, who is board certified in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, is part of a physician team that works to oversee the appropriate utilization of hospital resources.
The team also assists in ensuring the hospital remains current with applicable regulatory compliance and management standards affecting hospital programs and reimbursement.
Dr. Dahdal, who formerly led the Outreach and Cardio Oncology clinical program at Banner- University Medical Center, joined Tucson Heart Group in October 2016.
In his role at TMC, he’ll work with the executive medical director of professional staff services department, Dr. J. Manuel Arreguin, and Elizabeth Warren, the director.

Dr. Dahdal said he likewise is looking forward to the new role. “It is imperative that we maintain the highest quality standards at all levels at our institution to best serve our patients and community.
