TMC welcomes Maureen “Mimi” Warwick Coomler as Chief Nursing Officer

mimicoomlerTucson Medical Center is pleased to welcome Maureen “Mimi” Warwick Coomler, R.N., as chief nursing officer and vice president.

Prior to serving as the chief executive officer of the Children’s Clinics for Rehabilitative Services on the TMC campus, Coomler previously served six years at TMC, most recently as director of patient care services for Women’s and Children’s Services.

“Mimi shares our commitment to providing a great patient experience,” said Judy Rich, president and chief executive officer. “Not only is she a well-respected and experienced leader, she also knows our culture, our values and our history – and how they shape the work we do every day.”

Coomler, who holds a master’s of health administration from the University of Phoenix and was trained as a nurse at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, was a Fabulous 50 Nurses winner in 2009.

Coomler said she is thrilled to be back at TMC, given its role as an independent, nonprofit community hospital. “The community has a say in our success and in our direction and we provide services based on their needs,” she said. “We are beholden to this community.

TMC also thanks Marty Enriquez, R.N., who graciously served as interim chief nursing officer while TMC conducted a careful search for the right candidate.

My husband, Wayne Bennett, was a patient at your hospital April 5 thru April 7 2021. One nurse in particular, Rebeca Krause, (not sure if we are spelling it correctly, she was on the 750-799 wing nightshift) was very caring and informative to both of us. She was attentive to my husbands needs and both of our emotional well-being. I have never had a nurse that was the whole package. She is amazing and we want her supervisors to know this.
